Hi All,

Since enabling SNMP and monitoring my FreeNAS server via LibreNMS the console is being filled with the following:

error on subcontainer 'swrun container' insert (-1)

There was a bug report for FreeBSD back in 2012 FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE:
https://sourceforge.net/p/net-snmp/bugs/2333/

From my searching I've found that this is due to the SNMP log level being set to debug.
However, if I change this I suspect it will not persist after reboot or update.

Is there a tunable that can be set to prevent this or an Auxiliary parameter for the SNMP service?

Were you able to resolve this?

Unfortunately not. I've been rather busy and had completely forgotten.

Now that you've reminded me I have done some further searching and found the following thread:

https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/51799/
From the bug linked in the thread I suspect that this is only an issue when using snmp with vlan interfaces.

As per the advice there I have created the following tunable:

I won't be able to reboot this machine for a while but will report back if this is successful once I have.
