Hi,
I'm learning and using the FreeNAS 11 system, I currently have an R720 8 x 3.5 server. "
I plan to buy 6 x 3TB 12G SAS Dell
Slog: PCIe nmve Samsung 970 pro 512GB (or optane like everyone used, but in my country, this line is hard to buy)
Should I use Samsung 970 Pro ? I run on datacenter
I don't know what performance and stability it is, because I have never seen anyone in the forum use it. Can you give me advice?
Sorry my English not good

The 970 Pro is an excellent consumer drive, but lacks some of the key features that would make it a good SLOG device, most importantly the power-loss protection circuitry.

I would try to seek out the Optane drives or one of the Intel DC P-series NVMe drives (eg; DC P3700) as an alternative.
