Hi all,

First of all let me say my praise for what TrueNAS and FreeNAS before it have achieved. Truely excellent software, and I can't wait for Scale to be production ready!

I was just noticing, while running some computational benchmarks in a KVM vm on TrueNAS-SCALE-21.04-ALPHA.1 , that temperatures reported in the dashboard and reporting pages differ from those reported in ILO4 on an HP DL560 Gen8 (2x 2690v2, 256Gb 1866 ddr3);

Is this something we can/should fix? Will be glad to help out.

Kai.

You're not looking at the same thing.

The temperatures for CPU on the left are looking at individual cores/threads, while the one on the right refer to the overall CPU and possibly measured by the HP diagnostics at a different point than on-die like the ones on the left.

I wouldn't be at all confident that both aren't correct, just measuring different things.
