Hi,
I am a total newbie when it comes to FreeNAS but we are currently looking for an alternative to our old Backup Solution and my idea was to have a storage server which will host the backups. As we need to have weekly backups off-location my idea was to have several hot swap HDDs for this.
Now I was wondering if there is any possible way to start a task when one of those HDDs gets connected so that we can copy or sync certain files to the connected HDD. I know this could probably be done with normal cronjobs and a timed schedule but I would prefer to have it triggered with the HDD connecting :)
Thanks for your response.
