I created a FreeNAS virtual appliance in Hyper-V using Gen 1 (BIOS/MBR)
The OS is installed to a 23GB VHDX and there is a physical array attached to the VM to use as the backup storage.
When I boot the VM it seems it is loading the root fs from the DVD iso I used during installation and not the local hard drive. If I eject the DVD the VM fails to boot as it can not find the root-fs.
I have built this multiple times and each time I end up with the same results. How can I make it load the root fs from the VHDX where it is installed?
I am running 9.10.2
