Replication from Linux to FreeNAS Fails with Core Dumped

Hi Guys,

since Proxmox Version 4.x we have Replication Issues with Open-ZFS to FreeNAS
For some Reason LXC on Promox uses acltype=posixacl

This Attribute can´t be found on FreeNAS 9.10

Some Replications work with Core Dump Error, others only send first Snapshot and fails on the other!

Do I need this Attribute?

Example working with Error

rpool/data/subvol-107-disk-1:
newest local snapshot: zfs-auto-snap_daily-2016-10-18-1925
newest remote snapshot: zfs-auto-snap_daily-2016-10-17-1925
receiving incremental stream of rpool/data/subvol-107-disk-1@zfs-auto-snap_daily-2016-10-18-1925 into cosalux_repl/subvol-107-disk-1@zfs-auto-snap_daily-2016-10-18-1925
internal error: Invalid argument
Abort (core dumped)
Error sending snapshot.


Example failing

Have you tried upgrading to 9.10.1-U2?

I'd concur with the suggestion to update to -U2. If that doesn't fix it, and it's dumping core, that sounds like a bug that needs to be reported.

That's why the forum rules ask for, among other things, your exact FreeNAS version when you're posting about a problem.

The link appears in green at the top of every forum page, or you can use the Support button in the FreeNAS web GUI. I'd probably use the Support button, since it will attach your debug file, which may provide helpful information to the developers.

And why are ACSs not implemented?

The implementations of OpenZFS on FreeBSD and Linux (and Mac OSX, for that matter) are not identical and do not have exact feature parity. But it shouldn't be dumping core.

@cpzengel: did you end up filing a bug report? I searched for `posixacl` but didn't find anything relevant.

I'm also having this issue while trying to `zfs send -R` from ProxMox to FreeNAS-9.10.2 (a476f16).
