I suspect this has already been asked, but couldn't find any meaningful answers so far.

I have two FreeNAS 8.3 beta1 servers running. One is the "master", the other one is "replica", on the other side of the continent, and the replica only shares its volumes in "Read-only" mode.

On the Master I have snapshots set up for every 15 minutes, with 6 hour expiration time, and enabled replication. The replication is working beautifully, except, while on the Master the snapshots do get "expired" after 6 hours - the same is not happening on the Replica: it still has every single snapshot listed from the beginning of time (over 500 so far). They do not expire.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I not understanding something? I fear that in a month I'll end up having nearly 3 thousand of those... Why aren't the snapshots on Replica expiring? What do I need to do to make them expire after some time, short of manually deleting them?

Thanks a million for your help!

D.
