My system is a white box w/ an intel motherboard, 4 2TB Seagate drives, running 3gb of memory, FreeNAS 9.2 via usb stick, 1740 RocketRaid Controller. My problem is I can install FreeNAS just fine and dandy and the software sees the raid (6 TB) but when I got to UFS (add legacy) or ZFS add the process starts and about 10 seconds later the white box just reboots????

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Memory requirement is 4 GB for UFS and 8 GB for ZFS. UFS support is also dead in FreeNAS.

(RocketRaid is not recommended either)

Your hardware is inadequate (not enough RAM) and not supported (aka the RocketRAID controller). You need to either read up on proper hardware and purchase appropriate hardware for FreeNAS or consider an alternate OS.
