Question about RAM

I recently came into an older used HP Proliant ML110 G6 server that I'm wanting to move my build to (current build is an AMD A6 build, so, yeah...). This is the only spec sheet I could find that makes sense: https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/Getdocument.aspx?docname=c04282718. This spec sheet says max RAM is 16GB, but Intel says the max for the Xeon X3430 CPU and 3420 chipset is actually 32. I like that number.

I'm looking for a kit to get me to that magical 32GB, and I'm preferring Amazon. I found this kit (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C7YYP48), and I'm curious to know if anyone thinks it won't work. The packaging says it's "Designed for Mac Pro", but in my experience that simply means it's certified to work in the stated Intel-based Mac systems. I know of no reason why it wouldn't work for FreeNAS, but I want to make sure before I fork out the dough.

According to this blog post, you can use up to 32GB in that server:

But could 32GB work? Well, I am happy to report that after upgrading my systems I am successfully using 32GB with four Kingston KVR1333D3E9S/8G modules in one of my ML110 G6 servers and four Kingston KTH-PL313E/8G in another. Important: Kingston KTH-PL313 memory is NOT the same as KTH-PL313E, the later is ECC, Unbuffered/NON-REGISTERED. Regardless of the brand of memory you purchase it MUST BE Dual Ranked, ECC, Unbuffered/NON-REGISTERED. The Proliant ML110 G6 does not appear to support registered DIMMs. If you prefer to stick with OEM equipment, the correct HP Part Number is 647909-B21.

HP seem to never update their system specs when later tech comes along, so they're often wrong with max RAM on boards. But for safety, make sure you purchase from a source that will take a return.
