Hello guys,
I'm a newbie on freenas and on freebsd ;).
I just installed freenas 9.3.1 on my Acer AC100, everything work correctly except my network speed.
It is on 10baseT ...

Ifonfig :
em0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
options=4219b<RXCSUM,TXCSUM,VLAN_MTU,VLAN_HWTAGGING,VLAN_HWCSUM,TSO4,WOL
_MAGIC,VLAN_HWTSO>
ether 00:26:2d:0e:13:78
inet 192.168.1.220 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
nd6 options=9<PERFORMNUD,IFDISABLED>
media: Ethernet autoselect (10baseT/UTP <half-duplex>)
status: active

It's an Integrated single-port Intel 82579LM Gigabit Ethernet, i found a driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/17509/Network-Adapter-Gigabit-Base-Driver-for-FreeBSD- but I do not know how to install it and if it will solve my problem.

Can someone help me ?

Thank's.
Martin.

did you read the forum FAQs?

post your hardware specs, so people may complain because of your lack of ram.

and you can not install a driver on freenas. it is an appliance.

Tell us about your network equipment. You might have a bad cable or a slow switch/router.

Thank's for your answers.

I Have 2Gb Ram, core i3, my "Nas" is directly connected on my ISP Router (Freebox, with only Gigabit ports) and my cable is good, i test it on a Laptop and i have 1Gb.

tinmar, ususually people get beaten up here for raping freenas by a white fluffy crocodile.
would you mind to read the faq and the hardware minimum requirements? it is just a matter of time, that you will get other problems in the future. like not beeing able to access your data. or data corruption.

regarding your half duplex problem: check cables, and switch speed. oh, and take care about a backup - just a hinch.

For the moment I just testing Freenas, I don' t have data on my NAS. I recuperate this Acer AC100 from a client and i think it can be a base for a Nas.
My problem don't come from the fact that i have 2Gb ram ...

My cable, switch and the hardware works fine (I test the speed on a basic windows system).

So I just want some help for the speed network in 10 base t :)

Thank's

Please try a new cable, as I suggested earlier. It is quite often the problem in cases like this.

Another thing to try would be to connect the computer directly to the server. You'd need a static IP address on both devices.
