HI,
we are setting up some Freenas servers at work and we are running Proxmox for virtualisation. The virtual servers are stored on the Freenas servers and it is working. Now we want to share some folders from Freenas to our backup server to store backups on. The problem are we can't get the permissions right. How should I fix this so the mounted (on Ubuntu server) disk may be owned by a user called backuppc (it is a local user on the Ubuntu server but I have tried to create one on Freenas to with the same uid)?
I have tried some different solutions with nobody as owner on Freenas and root/wheel but I cannot get it to work.
