OWNCLOUD cant connect after upgrade to 9.2

i had owncloud working great on 9.1 release and upgraded to 9.2 release. how ownlcloud shows it is 'running' but cannot connect to it with either the desktop sync client or a browser. it has a internal ip and also an ip4 alias, neither of these will ping.

any ideas?
