If I am setting up an S3 bed (using Truenas) what would current users recommend?
Should I use the internal minio S3 service or the app on Truenas Scale? I have tested both and had success.
Also, should I just use TNAS Core with minio or Scale with either the app or the service?
The initial setup is going to be a single S3 instance that I will replicate (ZFS) to offsite of about 500TB. I will eventually create a distributed cluster with Scale for other projects but right now I just need a fat S3 store for backups (secondary S3 copies). This is just a data dump that will (hopefully) never be used so I want to go Truenas for the flexibility, snapshots and replication.
Any suggestions from the seasoned minio users?
