Hello all. I have a brand new FreeNAS 8 box that I just built. I have gone through and created my volume, assigned the owner as a user I created, created a NFS share, enabled the NFS service, and mounted the NFS share on my Windows Server 2008 R2 box. It mounted and I was able to create a new folder, however when I attempt to transfer files into that folder I get an error that all or part of the file may be locked by windows and therefore is unable to copy at this time. I thought it may be the server that was the issue so I installed the NFS client on a windows 7 machine, and mounted the volume and got the same error. I restarted the win 7 machine thinking maybe there was some issue with the fresh install of NFS and still got the same error.

I know I missed something but any help is appreciated.

Figured it out. Had to mount in windows with the option -o nolock to allow write access.
