Hey guys...
It's been a while since i poke my nose in here :p
Here's the Deal...
My current MSA1500cs controller is geting slow and always casing problems so im swapping out the whole FC SAN to something more sane since with the 1500Cs im still bound by 2Gb Dual links.
With that being said...
I have a ML370 G5 on its way.
The 370 can support up to 16 internal 2.5"/SFF SAS/SATA drives and still have 6 PCI-e and 2 PCI-X open slots.
For now 1 of the PCI-e Slots will be taken up my an HP Infiniband card and 1 PCI-X will be taken up by a Smart Array 6404 which in turn will be connected to 2x MSA20 JBOD Chassis
Now my question is...
How well will FreeNAS x64 will play along with the HP Smart Array 6400 Series SCSI controllers ??
And...
How well does FreeNAS play with Win 2K8 R2 hosts on Infiniband ?
