MiniDLNA Across Multiple Vlans

Hi all,

I Configured MiniDLNA Media server in one vlan "Vlan 30" and it is being shown on all the machines in vlan30 but now my requirement is to multicast its packets to my other two Vlan in my Network i configured Multicast on Router and enable IGMP snooping on all the switches but still fail to see the DLNA Media Server on different Vlan. I check the different solution, multicast configuration are correct
Some forum recommend me to change DLNA TTL for multicast

Vlan 30 :MiniDLNA
Vlan 20 :
Vlan 10:

Can any one help me to change the DLNA TTL or suggest me a better approach ??

Have you sniffed traffic and verified that the packets aren't showing up on the other vlans? Wireshark or equivalent should work.

Edit: I could be wrong, but the ttl is 64 I believe. That's enough to get data around the world and back. So I seriously doubt ttl is your problem.

Thanks for the reply. yea TTL is 64 for unicast Packets but i am asking a Multicast Packet TTL
