Well, yeah, because Cat6 is dumb to begin with, and translating it to SFP+ is a ton of technical tradeoffs that are mostly bad.

Very timely reminder of the folly of 10GBase-T, today of all days when I'm in the middle of redoing a pair of racks with new power, new networking and without affecting services. The damned HP FF5700 JG898A burns so much power that it's the loudest thing in the room if other servers aren't booting.
