Managed to wipe and confirm the wrong volume.

So I did it. I committed career suicide and blew away my good VM storage, by accident.

I have two machines with near identical storage sizes. I performed the wipe and confirmation on the wrong array. Is there any way to rebuild this aside from a lot of praying, begging, and hoping the backups work?

Well, I think it's gone, for good... sorry.

You might want to wait an answer from cyberjock (THE expert in these situations :)) but if you have a backup why not use it?

Lets just say that this career suicide also lost my snapshot vol. My backups are a bit dated.

You never really told us what you really did when you "performed the wipe". If it was simply a 'pool export' with the destroy option selected, you may be able to re-import it.

Might have to rebuild the partition table though.

Last time I looked at this it was 9.1.x.
