Lapsed FreeNAS user returning to the fold

Hi from Los Angeles. I configured a FreeNAS 8.3.1 box about 4 years ago and had almost forgotten about it... it has always just worked. I now have a little time to deal with it and want to update the old box to the latest FreeNAS (version 11). I am looking forward to enjoying FreeNAS, the latest generation, and the vibrant FreeNAS community.
I have experience with Windows and Linux (and a little FreeBSD, of course). I program for science data analytics purposes so I can code as required for that purpose - I am hardly a programmer.

Happy to share my experiences with FreeNAS as the need arises.
