issue in FreeNAS

Hi, I'm new in using the FreeNAS and I have two problem the first:
That I can't connect to active directory although that I put the correct credentials for my domain controller
the second that when I check the updates the following message is appeared:
"Check Now
Update server could not be reached
<urlopen error [Errno 8] hostname nor servname provided, or not known>

Update server could not be reached

Usually network configuration issue - probably causing issue 1.

Check your network DNS and gateway to ensure they are correct; troubleshoot pinging from the shell an external site and internal IP; etc.
