Intel Xeon E5-26xx CPU Upgrade (Value / Sweet Spot)

I currently have mis-matched CPUs: E5-2620 and E5-2630 (both v1) running at 2.00 and 2.30Ghz respectively.

I run a Plex jail and an Ubuntu 20.04 bhyve VM. From what I hear, higher clock rates will help both Plex and my VM.

What is the best value for an upgrade right now? I see a pair of Xeon E5-2667v2 on eBay and some others. Is this a good value? I think my motherboard can only take E5-26xx v1 or v2 processors.

I picked the E5-2637 for my last couple systems. They have a higher clock speed, but not a lot of cores. Since SMB is still single threaded (to the best of my knowledge), that seems like a pretty good fit. My current FreeNAS units have V3 and V4's, but my previous generation had V2's.

Price to performance the e5-2680v2 are the best choice over here in Europe
