I have an Ubuntu 18.04 server VM that I am always having to boot via VNC when ever it automatically updates. Is there any command I can issue to make it boot once the updates are completes so that I don't have to initiate the boot VIA VNC???

There's an option in the VNC device setting for the VM (Devices-VNC) called "Delay VM Boot until VNC Connects". Edit the device entry and uncheck that box - should do the trick!
