How to backup FreeNas volumes to external USB hard Drive

I'm new to FreeNas so please be patient with me. What is the easiest way to backup zfs volumes to external hard drive? I have 3 1Tb drives in RaidZ raid. Thank you for your help.

If you're able to mount the drive and it's formatted with a filesystem FreeNAS can write to, you can use the cp command from the command line.
