How do I use the transmission plugin?

So after I figured out how to setup a jail, and installed transmission in it, and configured external storage for it, and configured a "watch dir", I have still no idea how to use this transmission setup.

Am I supposed to simply put torrents into the watchdir?
Does that mean I cannot control an individual torrent destination directory?
What about magnets?

Transmission has a web interface ;). Just point your browser to http://[the_jail_IP]:9091

Just click on the Open Torrent icon and copy the magnet link into the "Or enter a URL:" field in the Transmission GUI.

Pretty sure watch directory only reads .torrent files.
Magnet links need to be pasted directly to the web GUI.

Didn't know such feature existed.
I've always just pasted it through the web console. It's quick, easy, and works flawlessly.
In fact, it probably would take more effort to paste that text in a text file and save it in the watch dir.

I was actually responding to dbbd :). "I don't think that works." was a response to the idea of putting the magnet link into the watch directory. We both replied at almost the same time (few minutes apart).

You can also download the transmission remote gui, set up the connection using [jail ip]:9091 and it will handle magnet links.
