I'm new to the Free/TrueNas ecosystem coming from a Debian based NAS setup. I like what I see and so far with TrueNas 12 I have my desired setup fully functional. Seeing this new Scale project makes me even happier. That being said, are plugins going away in favor of docker/kubernetes? As good as docker is, I just haven't really gotten the hang of it.

With the new Debian underpinnings, I could always install plex at the command line.

The goal is to enable plugins via kubernetes..... but from the WebUI they will look like plugins via BSD jails.

The underlying plumbing is different, but the UI is the same old kitchen sink

Helm charts are indeed more than flexible enough to get this integrated quite nicely :)
