my name is jeff, I have been using windows since 95, and have messed with Linux a little but never had the time to learn all the command line instructions and switches, etc.
that is first reason I fell in love with freenas from instant I installed it.
I can do limite CL work if I figure out what I am doing but mainly stay with GUI.
I built a box with 4 2tb wd hds in raid 5 temporarily until I get in an IBM card to flash and use with 6 - 5tb 2.5in drives in raidz2. using an old x77 mobo with 3.7ghz processor and intel gigabit nic. only using non ecc memory but I do have 32GB.
hopefully will not be bugging people, I usually figure stuff out on my own, but thanks in advance for any help I get from others and wanted to say HI and thank you to all the people that help develop this awesome FS
