GUI Available space issue

I just finished installing FreeNAS 9.3 on my new machine but I am having an issue with the available space displayed in the GUI. I have 8 x 4TB hard drives in RAIDZ2 and after creating my zpool I can see under Storage -> Volume that I have 29 TiB available for the zpool. Until here all is fine since 29TiB=31.89 TB ~ 4x8TB (I understand that this space includes the parity drives).

However my issue is with the available space listed for my vdev (I only have one). Under available space my vdev only lists 13.6 TiB as being available. That's where it does not make sense for me. If my calculations are right, I have 2 drives of parity therefore 2x4TB=7.28TiB and thus I should have approximately 31.89-7.28=24.61TiB available. This is of course a gross approximation but even using Biduleohm's calculator, I obtain 17.18 TiB of theoretical available space(which take into account the parity drives and the 80% fill limit) for storing my data.

Am I missing something ? Why is the GUI reporting at least 3.58 TiB less than what should be available in my vdev?

Is there any commands I could run to help diagnose the problem ?

Thanks a lot for all you help. This community has been extremely supportive so far.

My bad. Here are the full specs:
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230 v5
Motherboard: SuperMicro X11SSH-F
RAM: 32GB DDR4 ECC (2x Samsung M391A2K43BB1-CPBQ 16GB)
HDD: 8x WD Red 4To in RAIDZ2
Boot Device: Samsung 950 Pro
FreeNAS: FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201602031011

and here's the output of zpool status:
Code:
 pool: Tank
state: ONLINE
  scan: none requested

          nvd0p2 ONLINE 0 0 0

Looking at that output it seems there are 2 RAIDZ2 pools (RAIDZ2-0 and RAIDZ2-1)...is this correct ? Why is there only 1 zpool shown in the GUI ? I did create a zpool earlier but I decided to redo it and so deleted it through Volume->detach->ticked the "mark the disks as new" box. Did I not truly erase the earlier zpool ?

Thanks a lot for the help and sorry for the newbie questions. I am very new to this. :D

You might also consider backing up your data, destroying your pool and starting over with 8 drives in RAIDz2 (a single vdev).
