I had to do a clean rebuild of my FreeNAS system as it would not allow me to upgrade using the GUI nor the CD method, all is good and fine except that I cannot figure out how to rebuild my iSCSI config without loosing all the data.
I setup iSCSI as I had previously but there is one step which I cannot figure out, after creating all the targets and file extents I now need to get my old extent files to be presented as a drive to my Windows 7 box. Unfortunately Windows 7 refuses to accept the LUNs as being a drive and always forces me to initialized the drive which means I loose all the data in the extents.
I think this is more a Windows problem than FreeNAS but I though I'd ask anyway.
Happy new Year!!
