FreeNAS not freeing storage space

I've deleted and moved files using my Windows Client. But the deletions/moves are not clearing space reported in Active Volumes page on FreeNAS. I used the Shell function and ran LS for the directories where the files were deleted or moved, and confirmed those files have been deleted or removed. But the Storage space has not been restored in the Active Volumes page in FreeNAS...resulting in continued Critical Alert for capacity issue. I've also cleared old Snapshots. No luck freeing storage space.

You almost certainly did not get rid of the relevant snapshots.

When examining the Snapshots window under Storage, there are no Snapshots listed. I destroyed all that were there, and have rebooted the server. Storage space still not freed.

Do you have the recycle bin feature enabled on the shares?

The Export Recycle Bin under Windows SMB Shares is selected

Ok, so empty the .recycle folder of the share.
