Freenas 9.3 - pkg_add - FTP site is missing the files - vmware tools

hello,
I want to install these two dependencies

pkg_add -r compat6x-amd64
pkg_add -r perl

for VMware tools (ESXi 6.0) in Freenas 9.3 and I get These errros:

pkg_add -r compat6x-amd64
Error: Unable to get ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/packages-9-stable/Latest/compat6x-amd64.tbz: File unavailable

I found out, that under the path ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/amd64/ only the directory packages-8.4-release exists.

Looks like the FTP site is missing the files… did FreeBSD change where they put the packages or are prior to the installation with pkg_add additional commands to execute?

I thought pkg_add had gone away, and was replaced by the pkgng tools. You are doing this in a jail, right?

Use the new package system pkg_add has been been deprecated over the past year.
