Hi there,

So i replaced a disk and the new disk is not seen as a multipath disk. It is seen as single path disk /dev/da54.
This should be normal, because only at boot, multipath is started and checks if the disk is multipath.
The solution I see everywhere is "service ix-multipath start", well how come in Freenas 9.10 there is no ix-multipath service?
What is the solution for 9.10?

I do not want to reboot FreeAND whenever a disk is replaced.
I could label the device myself like: gmultipath label -Name /dev/56 /dev/da54
/dev/da56 is the first free device name I can use.
After labeling I could create a multipath/diskxx and add the two devices.

But before I do this, i would like some advise if this is the correct way or if there is another solution.

Try: /usr/local/bin/midclt call notifier.multipath_sync

It should have happened automatically on disk attach, care to create a bug report for the problem?
