FreeNAS 9.10.2-u1 update db file missing

hi everyone i was thinking upgrade FreeNAS 9.10.2-u1 to 11 maybe if think it safe enough, want run more virtual stuff
but thought be time fix this problem i have and not too sure how do it and don't wanna kill my data
go to update in gui but has nothing due to missing db file i guess

The only time I've seen this is when FreeNAS is running in a Virtual Machine. Is your FN server running as a VM?

hi, no it not, i dont see point running freenas in vm, i do remember now like 4month try upgrade to u2 but it failed, power went out too long at night for ups, maybe it corrupted the file, is there way to fix it?

Save your system config, reinstall 11.0-U2, upload config and import your pool. There have been few major issues with the 11.0 line so far and those are either fixed or in the process of being fixed (11.0-U3) so I'd say it's safe to upgrade.

ok, thanks, did hear people was waiting 11.1 i give it a go after work tomorrow
