Hi. I have installed FreeNAS 8.3.1 and I'd like to enable the WebServer service as this tutorial says. Since there is no WebServer under "Services" in the WebGUI, I looked for a solution on the web and discovered that FreeNAS 8 hasn't the WebServer service. Is there anything I can do, or an alternative to the WebServer? Should I downgrade to FreeNAS 7? But then can I migrate my server's configuration?
What I'd like to do is basically type http://192.168.1.XXX:XXX in my browser and see an index of the server contents. Thank you.

FreeNAS .7 and 8+ are not even the same project. Please review the forum guidelines and warnings.

That guide is for the discontinued FreeNAS 7. That project was renamed to NAS4Free, so they may have that feature. I'd check there.

But I wouldn't recommend you stick with FreeNAS 7. It has alot of bugs and security problems since its discontinued.
