Storage: WD red 4gbx6 in RaidZ2, WD red 3gb in RaidZ2
Hey Guys,
I had 2 drives fail sequentially. The first drive started to show SMART errors. I replaced that drive and during the sliver process another drive failed. The reslivering process keeps getting "Unretryable, Error 22" and restarting the resliver before ultimately the replacement drives just faults. This occurs despite only replacing 1 at a time. I realized that these were DM-SMR and so I have returned them and have red pros on the way. Can i blame the restarting resliver process and ultimate drive fault all on the SMR or is there something else going on?
It tried to resliver 3x before I realized it might be the SMR discs. Each time the drive faults another gptid is created. Why were additional gptids created and once the WD red pros arrive which gptid should I replace?
Thanks in advance for your help!
