Hello FreeNAS community,

I am following the hardware forum quiet a while trying to figure out my first DIY NAS build.
As I was until now only reading, it is time for my first question. I was not able to find anything related to this, using the forum search, so please forgive me if this has been asked somewhere else before.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Intel SP1200SPL mainboard (http://geizhals.at/intel-s1200spl-dbs1200spl-a1376648.html?hloc=de) running FreeNAS?

I appreciate any input.

Thank you

Thank you @russnas for your reply.

Unfortunately I do not understand what you are trying to point out.
The Intel S1200SPL board uses 2 x I210 network controllers and has plenty of other options to boot an operating system (.m2, ssd, Sata DOM).
To me it looks very similar to the X11 ones from super micro and I saw people having a NAS build with those boards.

Can you please be a little bit more specific?

sorry about that i was making the assumption that you may have wait for driver support for components on the board but it seems its all supported, thats all i could find on skylake parts, being intel it should work as planned

maybe better to post on reddit if you dont get convincing replies
