Hi sorry if this is a bit vague as I'm a noob
I'm building a new nas.
I bought a new processor. It's a amd A-Series A8 5600k. I have freenas on a usb stick and when I boot It enters panic pretty much at the start, It stops at this line

ACPI APIC Table: <ALASKA A M I>
panic: AP #1 (PHY# 17) failed!
cpuid = 0
KDB: enter: panic
[thread pid 0 tid 0]
Stopped at kdb_enter+0x3b: movq $0,0x74d242(%rip)
db>

I'm trying to run freebsd 8.3 release-p4

further up the page it seems to detect the cpu with a line
CPU: AMD A8 5600k with Radeon (tm) Graphics (3593.48-MHz K8-class CPU)

I have 16gb memory installed in a gigabyte F2A75M-D3H

Any ideas why it won't boot?

Yes I think I might have it sorted. I had a few things enabled in the bios which I have disabled. Yes I just checked and I'm though to console setup.

Thanks for the reply

Cheers
