Emulex 10G oce driver 10.0.664.0 in FreeNAS 11.1-U2

I'm trying to do a fresh install of FreeNAS 11 on a system with an HP Emulex OCE11102 dual SFP+ 10G card. It's in a x16 slot with an old Core i7-2600. I found an old bug mentioning the same driver version, but FreeNAS 11 seems to still be using the old problematic driver. My system hangs on the oce driver during boot.

Any suggestions? Is there an older FreeNAS release with the newer 10.0.747.0 floating around or a way for me to update FreeNAS 11 with the new driver?

You could create a feature request at bugs.freenas.org asking that the newer driver be added. If you do, post the issue number here.

I apologize, I meant to include a link to the previous old bug (2014):

It's listed as resolved, but the old driver appears to be in 11.1-U2. Would I open new defect? I'm not sure what the process is.

Since the oce driver is included in FreeBSD it is likely on them to handle including a later driver version. https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=oce&sektion=4

ixSystems has some ability to try and include an upstream upgrade but the FreeBSD request system would be a much better place to put this.
