I have a two disk array. Two 240GB SSDs in a RAID0 type configuration. It is the target for a read-only BTsync share. One of the disks suffered a failure for some reason, resulting in the corruption of metadata in 5 of the files (out of hundreds of thousands). I shut the NAS down, reseated the drive and rebooted. The zpool became available again but now I get this message in the 'Alert System' section on the top right of the GUI.

ONLINE: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected.Restore the file in question if possible. Otherwise restore the entire pool from backup.

I also receive a daily email with the following content:

Checking status of zfs pools:
NAME SIZE ALLOC FREE CAP DEDUP HEALTH ALTROOT
SearchDataStore 440G 51.5G 388G 11% 1.00x ONLINE /mnt

pool: SearchDataStore
state: ONLINE
status: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data
corruption. Applications may be affected.
action: Restore the file in question if possible. Otherwise restore the
entire pool from backup.
see: http://illumos.org/msg/ZFS-8000-8A
scan: scrub repaired 0 in 0h2m with 0 errors on Sun Dec 21 00:02:55 2014
config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
SearchDataStore ONLINE 0 0 0

gptid/d69d9a30-288d-11e4-a22b-bc5ff4ccd076 ONLINE 0 0 2

errors: 5 data errors, use '-v' for a list

The files have already been replaced by the BTsync client. Is there a way to inform FreeNAS that I'm cool with the situation and don't need further alerts or am I going to have to destroy the dataset and rebuild it?

Thanks

After the files have been replaced you should be able to do a zpool clear followed by a zpool scrub. If all really *is* well, the scrub will complete with no errors.
