Can't ping bridge

Hello.

I have 2 intel 10g NICs. (and a third nic for management)
I created a bridge (called bridge1), added the 2 NICs and assigned an IP (10.1.30.10/24)
I have a workstation connected directly to one of those NICs with a static IP (10.1.30.11/24)

I cannot ping 10.1.30.10 from the workstation.

Does the bridge interface not operate this way?

This is on TrueNAS-13.0-U5.1

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT:
I had to add "up" (without the quotes) to the options for the physical interfaces.

I do not know why but the system was keeping them in a downed state.

That's expected. Nothing wrong with your system. Adding "up" is the correct way to configure bridge members. Also disable hardware offloading for the physical interfaces.
