Hi everyone,
Will it Freenas? or now TrueNAS)
Can you help with the selection of configurations. It is necessary to deploy storage for video files (there will be large (8TB) and small (2.5MB) in large quantities). These files will be uploaded and viewed simultaneously.

parameters:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE C246-WU4
CPU: Xeon E-2126G
RAM: 2x16GB ECC
SSD for L2ARC: Samsung 970 evo
HDD: 8x4TB in RAID6

And main questions:
1. Are these parameters sufficient for the work of 100 people?
2. Do I need to add ZIL/SLOG drives
3. Which hard drive configuration is better, more capacity less HDD or vice versa
Did I miss anything?

What thoughts did bring you to this configuration?
What video resolution are we talking about?
Are we really talking about 8 TB files or is it 8 GB instead?

It seems to me that this will be your first problem... if you want to push the box to the point that it will use/benefit from L2ARC and/or SLOG, 32GB of RAM is not enough.

should i increase RAM?
The recommendation is that before you would use L2ARC, you should first have at least 64GB of RAM.

If this is for a work environment, I assume you are buying new components. your selected board supports LGA1151 -- There are many Supermicro X10 based boards that also take LGA1151. Have you considered those boards as well ? Not sure why I would want audio ports and various display ports on my server.

If buying used components is also an option, there are a whole lot of X10 based boards available on ebay too.

HDD: 8x4TB in RAID6
I hope you don't mean hardware RAID. You would want to use RAIDZ2 instead.

If this....
The point is that I can bougth this parts on local markets, ordering from ebay takes a time to ship to Tajikistan (tanks to COVID)
Of corse it will be RAIDZ2, there for i chose this MB (8 sata ports, plus 2 m2), and for future it has a lot PCIe for 10G network cards

Yeah, unfortunately local availability does play a big part in the build decisions.
