Hello.

I had recently some trouble with external USB drive connected to the FreeNAS:
the "zpool" to import the external driver "freezes". After some unsuccessfull re-tries, I decided to restart all FreeNAS.
The FreeNAS freezes during shutdown.

Finally I performed the hard reset of the Freenas.

After start I recognised that the boot USB thumb drive is not visible on FreeNAS UI, neigher as volume nor as a drive.

But it still there via "zpool list" and is online via "zpool status"

pool: freenas-boot
state: ONLINE
scan: scrub repaired 0 in 0 days 00:00:59 with 0 errors on Wed Jun 16 03:46:00 2021
config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
freenas-boot ONLINE 0 0 0
da0p2 ONLINE 0 0 0

errors: No known data errors

Please help.

Thank you in advanced.

PS: By the way - what is to do to terminate freezed zpool commands?

You can find the status of the boot drive in System --> Boot.

As for the problems with your drive: don't use USB thumb drives, but a small SATA SSD for booting.
