I have an HP N40L with six 1 tb drives installed. When it boots up, the BIOS sees drives 0 through 6 (seven drives total; but one of these is the USB flash drive that FreeNAS uses to boot from). However, once FreeNAS starts and I try to create my first storage pool, it only shows four drives being present. It should show six. What am I doing wrong?

SOLVED, I GUESS.

I decided to pull the PCIe SATA controller that I had added and connect one of the drives directly to the open SATA port on the motherboard. It was recognized. Now I'm off to buy an eSATA to SATA cable so that I can make the 6th drive work.
