BUILD ASrock c2750d4i RAM

Hey! New to FreeNAS and new to the forum. Just started building my first box. Based on the ASrock c2750d4i.

I already made the mistake of buying the wrong RAM once, and unregistered ECC RAM seems to be hard to find in my country (Norway). However, I think I have found an option after checking the this site:

However, I wish to double check my findings. I plan on buying these:

Have I understood things correctly? Will these work? :)

I have found a different pair of Crucial RAM. Is Crucial preferable? They are actually cheaper aswell.

Kingston is not a company most people here would like to do more business with.

First, stop searching for 24GB kits. You'll only get old parts.

Next, open ASRock's QVL and look for the model of Crucial RAM they've validated. Buy that. Buy a 2 DIMM kit plus a single DIMM if you must.

Thanks Eric, I'll avoid Kingston if possible. I am not searching for 24gb kits specifically, but they seem to be the only ones readily available here. None of the stuff from the QVL is listed in any store here. And ordering abroad pretty much doubles any item in price when considering taxes and such.

The 24gb I mentioned is something I am able to get my hands on at a reasonable rate, are there technical reasons I should avoid that RAM in particular? If absolutely necessary I will try to import, this will double the price of my purchase though.

Hard to say. Haven't seen anyone buy the old model DIMMs.
