Hi,
I've been trying for ages to find a solution to my home network/storage needs. Finally stumbled upon FreeNas a few months ago and I've been doing a tonne of research which has led me to the stage I'm up to now, designing a build and a new home network setup using a dedicated Pfsense device.
I'm in no way an expert I'm very much new to this. I have built a few PC's in the past but nothing close to what I'm doing now so it's been a steep learning curve and I am still very much learning.
This is the build I've come up with, https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/first-freenas-build.46323/ . I think it might be a bit of an overkill, but I want options for the future and when I learn a bit more about FreeNas I don't want to be restricted by poor or insufficient hardware choices.
Cheers.
