Alternative to HP N40L ?

hi,

it looks like that unit has been discontinued. Even thought it wasn't a high-end CPU, it was:

• quiet
• cheap
• had nice drive bays
• required no assembly
• could run FreeNAS and ZFS (or other distros)

Is there a good alternative that has all of those features?

That is good to hear. I just wish that they would make a new version. Newegg has them marked as discontinued.
