As a newbie to FreeNas!
I have tried installing both the latest 7.2.8191 and 8.02 release of FreeNas on my SuperMicro server.
I am installing from CD created from the ISO images.
In 7.2.8191, I can install the software and recognize the Adaptec controller.
But, using 8.02, I cannot get the bootstrap to recognize the Adaptec controller.
I figured that this controller is not new, so the current compiled kernel would have seen it in 8.02.
The kernel loads my other controller, a Silicon Image bases E-SATA.
So far, I love the interface, and plan on using iSCSI over ZFS feature with MBIO to a Citrix Xenserver.
Can anyone help me with the steps on loading the ahd controller into 8.02 AMD/64?
