Greetings all,
just finished updating this evening from 9.3 and got as far as 11.2-U8
after upgrading my Pool a couple times i now have a degraded message.
I'm pretty sure one of my drives are gone ( which i expected i have 2 left from a bad batch )
and this version seems to show things a little different in the GUI , and shows no errors etc in zpool status,
, just wanted to verify with you folks first .

pool:
state: DEGRADED
status: One or more devices could not be opened. Sufficient replicas exist for
the pool to continue functioning in a degraded state.
action: Attach the missing device and online it using 'zpool online'.

Hi,

One of the disks is unavailable according to the output:

11293713218029400292 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 was /dev/gptid/683b83af-4cf1-11e5-8f38-6805ca32cdb3

Using "glabel status" you might be able to figure out which disk it is.

Could be either. Try reseating the connections first or swapping connections with another disk. (FreeNAS doesn't care about the actual connection, but uses gptid to identify the disk.) If that doesn't work, the drive is gone.

Great, that's what I figured,
I have tried re-seating the controller and changing Sata ports and a cable, still the same thing.
Ordering a RED drive,
thanks again for the info folks,
much appreciated !!!

PS: The new interface is AWESOME !!!!!

Ordering a RED drive,

Make sure you don't order an SMR drive (EFAX, between 2-6 TB capacities), but have instead ordered a CMR drive (EFRX, or EFAX outside the problematic sizes).
