Is there a more up to date version of this, with the onboard SAS controller?

I'm looking to build a new one, but just a more up to date version of my current system, which will become the backup. Not sure why I missed that one in my search!

I want at least 64GB RAM and still haven't decided on drive size, but thinking 8x8TB (RAIDZ2)

You could save a lot of money with used hardware instead of buying new and still have more memory capacity.
A system board like this for example would allow you to use very inexpensive Registered DDR3 memory instead of the super expensive DDR4.

You could save hundreds on it. I made a post about it here:

Still useful even though I have not updated the prices recently.

I have considered it, but this thing will live in my home office and I really don't want a big noisy server under my desk.

My current setup with double the RAM and storage will be perfect.
