Hello,

I have upgrade my NAS to Freenas 8.2 using the package FreeNAS-8.2.0-RELEASE-p1-x64.GUI_Upgrade.xz
I was excited to find the new features but when I read the doc about plugins and jail, in order to install them,
I was unable to find the menu "Plugins".

A screenshot of what I see:

Anybody know why I can't see plugins?

Thanks.

Plugins is a service under services, and actual plugins are installed in a sub-tab under Services. The plugins sub-tab will not work until the plugins service is configured and running.

You are running FreeNAS 8.0. You need to perform a CD upgrade to 8.2.0, a GUI upgrade won't work. What led you to install that exact version? I'd like to get that instruction or link corrected. The newest stable version of FreeNAS is always on the front page of FreeNAS.org.

How very strange. Those links all go to the 8.2.0 versions of FreeNAS, both in the text and the side of the page. I wrote them myself, in fact. Anyway, the file you probably want is FreeNAS-8.2.0-RELEASE-p1-x64.iso unless you have 32-bit software, in which case you want FreeNAS-8.2.0-RELEASE-p1-x86.iso
