Upgrade 11.2-U7 to 11.3: move your system dataset before upgrading!

After reading the known-impacts post from iXsystems (thank you for your great work again!!! :)) I was wondering:

Looking at "System/System Dataset/System Dataset Pool" I found that my system dataset is actually located on an encrypted pool with a passphrase. So it should be better to move the system dataset to an unencrypted pool (or an encrypted pool without a passphrase) according to the recommendations posted in "known-impacts".

But how to do this? Can I simply just click on the button in the setting, choose my boot SSD (which is unencrypted) as "System Dataset Pool", click "SAVE" and then it's done?

Or are there some more steps to be taken to achieve this?

Thanks everybody in advance for your support! :)

7.6 answers your question. You just set the new location and it migrates. SMB service will be restarted in the process and it warns you of this.

Thank you. Will try that and report back if everything went well.

Ok, I moved "System Dataset Pool" to my boot SSD, restart, upgraded to 11.3. Everything went well without problems.

Had to upgrade my ZFS pools afterwards, read this, upgraded the pools and now everything works perfectly! :)
